Miles of Smiles
When I was at the dentist earlier this year with Ava, they educated us on the importance of pediatric oral health. They gave us a flier for the local Pediatric Dentist whose flyer simply said "Miles of Smiles". This weekend was certainly that in the Tettambel house. Ava had spent the last week feeling under the weather. She is almost 9 months; and other than her minor fainting incident, she had been perfectly healthy. No colds, no fevers, never ever felt under the weather.... until this week. Baby girl had a mild fever, and a sore throat. We know this because our normally, PERFECT eater wanted very little to do with food or bottles. We nursed her back to health, with the help of Ms. Bobbi, and by Saturday Ava was back to her old self, and happier than ever. When I say she could not stop smiling and laughing that is certainly an understatement. Here are her pictures from this weekend. You will also see that Ava got to give her "big girl" car seat a try for the first time. We are truly torn as to what to do, Ava is SOOOO long that she has outgrown her infant carrier car seat by 1.5 inches and is at the weight where she could be in either seat. We LOVE the Graco seat that we have but she is not suppose to go forward facing until she is 1 year.... oh the decisions.... obviously with the help of our Nationally Ranked Top Pediatrician (Congrats Dr. Bernal!) we will make the safest/best decision for Ava!

I have the Graco Ride 65 which can be found at Target. It fits rear-facing up to 40 lbs and forward facing up to 65 lbs. It truly is safer for our little ones to be rear-facing for as long as possible b/c their neck muscles are not developed enough to endure a head on collision God forbid that ever happens to any of us. Thought I'd throw that out there! Love my car seat :)
