Last weekend Ava made her first trip to New Jersey! We visited with Mommy's family in Somers Point at the shore. This was a fabulous trip, not only because Ava did great in the car but also because Ava got to spend time with some of Mommy's family that she does not get to see often enough. Daddy and Mommy agree that there will be many many more trips up North to visit the O'Connell side of the family as well as the Miller's next time! :)
Our first stop was a "lay over" if you will at Uncle Mike's house in Annapolis. We went to Jimmy Cantler's for crabs, again, and then went to Heroes for some fun at the local establishments.... to say Ava was well behaved would be a complete understatement. She slept through the crab dinner and then laughed her way through our short visit to Heroes!
Ava also got to take her first trip to the OCNJ boardwalk. Daddy drove Grammy's minivan (picture below) because cousins Jordan and Caroline were along for the ride! (Literally, we watched them enjoy some of the more thrilling rides while we waited patiently for Ava's first Merry-Go-Round experience! Daddy was skeptical as to what to expect at the boardwalk, but all in all he totally loved it! We also got to visit Allison briefly at her t-shirt shop, but not one of those t-shirt shops! :)
Ava also got some QT with her cousin Pamela! Those two are going to be such great friends only being about a month apart. Pammy we miss you already and can't wait to see you again! Wow, now that I think about it Ava had a lot of firsts this trip .... did I mention Uncle Franny and Aunt Christine let Ava have her first "big people" food, a Tettambel favorite, a twisted pretzel. To say Ava liked the pretzel would also be an understatement as she absolutely LOVED them! (She had about 4!)
