All that we're after.....

Jeff & I are in agreement, Memorial Day Weekend 2010 has been our best weekend yet! Everything about our trip to Charleston, SC was absolutely perfect. The weather was warm, but not hot; breezy, but not windy. The food was delicious (we highly recommend Blossoms, The Lost Dog Cafe, Amen Street Pub and Vickery's). Best of all, was our company! This was arguably the most relaxing and enjoyable weekend we have had together since we got married. There were no stressors, just smiles with a happy baby, who just loved being along for the ride!

Here are our pictures, we tried to capture every moment of Ava's first trip to the beach, and first trip (of many) to Charleston.

Here is our girl for the very first time on Sullivan's Island, we think she was wondering "ok, I'm at the beach, now what am I to do?!"

We successfully took our six month old to the beach for 2 days, and she got NO sun, thanks to prescription SPF 100 and our fabulous tent!
This was Ava feeling the ocean for the very first time... at first she was shocked and didn't know what to think, but it didn't take long for her to figure it out, expect the waves to get her, and to enjoy splish splashing around!
Daddy is there to hold her hand in case she gets startled again!
Daddy helped Ava get dressed and ready on Day 2 - Off to Folly Beach we go!
Ava was really taken with the waves and the ocean. On day 2 we sat much closer to the water so she could hear the waves crashing and it often caught her attention.

Play time with Daddy, yes we brought a bag full of just toys, just in case she needed them! :)
Ava reppin' The Athlete Village. If you're an avid swimmer, we highly recommend this website. Our friends Marc and Abigail run this company, they were both collegiate swimmers and have a real passion for the sport. Jeff wore this hat all over Charleston!

All that we're after, is a life filled with laughter......
As long as I'm laughing with you.
This is my favorite picture of Ava from the whole weekend. It was amazing to see her face light up each time a wave got up close to her. To say she enjoyed herself, would be an understatement.

On Sunday evening Jeff & I decided to try something a little fun, and restaurant hopped! We went to the first of 2 restaurants we wanted to try and just had a drink and appetizer.

And than, we went to a second restaurant and had another drink and dinner. It was the perfect way to try out a few extra places, while we were only there for 2 nights!
