Here are some recent pictures from the weekend. At the top, Ava was busy organizing away her "grocery store" she likes to line up all of her "for sale" items on the ledges of our windows around the house - I think that it reminds her of shelves at the store!
I was trying to get a good picture of Ava when she was dancing around to the music from her refrigerator farm - but she wasn't having it! As you can see, she gave me a pose and a "mean mug" face because she has not been very interested in the camera lately!
Auntie C came down for the weekend and it was so great to have company. We loved seeing her and Ava got to show off her "big girl" skills. She sang lots of songs, danced around and all-in-all had fun having a new "friend" over! Auntie C gave Ava some 80s inspired gifts, including glow in the dark bracelets and neon spinning maracas!
On Easter morning Ava woke up and said "Happy Easter from Ava" which we think she was coached into doing at school this week, but nonetheless, it was very cute and sweet. She ran right to her art easel where she starts almost everyday, until she saw from the distance the basket of goodies that was on her play table. Luckily we caught her in the act, and you can see from the pictures below - she loved her basket!
A few months back we joined one of the local country clubs here in Charlotte, the Palisades. Jeff is certainly enjoying the golf and the gym the most - but as soon as that pool opens, Ava and I will be regulars as well! It will offer us a very nice variety because we have a pool in our neighborhood, but the Palisades pool has an infinity infant pool as well as slides and sprinklers and enhancements at their pool - we know Ava will love!!!
On Easter Sunday, we went to a lovely brunch at Palisades and had an enjoyable time. The Easter Bunny himself was in attendance - but Ava was not a fan. Similar to Santa Claus! She talks a real big game, and asks to see him often, but when push came to shove, she had no interest in sitting with him, saying hello, or giving a high-five. In some regards, we are not bothered by it because we think it's good that she is so timid to talk to "strangers" although we do feel like we're missing out (a little) on the cute toddler pictures with seasonal holiday characters! Welp, maybe next year!!
We hope you enjoy the pictures from our weekend! As you can tell from one of the bottom pictures, I am in the HOME STRETCH - and we are ready and excited to meet our sweet Baby Girl T #2!!! We might have to re-name the blog to "Tettambels & Tiaras" or "Jeff's Girls" but we will wait and see!
