Georgetown vs. the Orioles

This past weekend we decided to make a long weekend of it and head North to get some visiting in. Friday we drove North, with our first stop being at our friend's house meeting their new gorgeous son AJ. We spent some quality time with Grammy and Grandpa M on Saturday and then rendezvous-ed in Georgetown on Monday. Here are Miss Ava's pictures from Monday; Daddy and Uncle Mike went to the Orioles game to cheer on our old local team in Baltimore. Ava loved Georgetown - so much so that her Daddy is in BIG trouble when she gets a little older!

Ava was ready to take off in this one.... mind you she didn't get far because Grammy and Jordan were standing right behind me.

We had a snack at the delicious and famous Sprinkles Cupcakes. We drove past Georgetown Cupcakes, which have been a long time favorite of mine, but thanks to their newfound celebrity (DC Cupcakes television show) the line was over a block long! I was happy to get to try and Sprinkles Cupcake for the first time as their owner is one of the judges on Cupcake Wars on the FoodNetwork.... obviously Ava was happy to go anywhere!

This could possibly be my new favorite picture of Ava - sitting in the bay window of Sprinkles, deep in thought, watching the world go by. Love it.

This girl is certainly a crowd pleaser as she was blowing kisses to almost everyone that walked by. As a matter of fact, a lovely woman who was walking down the street (in a similar pink colored shirt to Ava), saw her in the window as she was walking by and stopped in just to tell us how gorgeous she was! Such a lovely compliment from a stranger!
Here are a few pictures at a park off of M Street that we stopped into for a few minutes of running around.....

Ava was getting very tired by this point...... notice the stern look of "I need a nap" on her face!

Grammy and her girls.....

Didn't make it 5 minutes on the drive home.....

Jordan was such a big helper this weekend - she made to read Ava lots of stories before bedtime.
