Grandpa T came over today so he could join Avakins on her first ever Easter egg hunt! My oh my, was she ever excited!! As soon as we told her that the "hunt" was at the neighborhood park - she was ready to go! Ava had a difficult time controlling her excitement today - as you can see from the pictures, the girl did NOT want to sit still!!!
As soon as she saw the slides at the park, she was off and running! 
The Easter egg hunt had a great turn out, with about 150 of our closest neighbors! Lots of kids in Ava's age range as well (0-3 years). She did a terrific job. We were so impressed because she totally got it, she was digging for eggs, running when she'd see one off in the distance, and eager to open them once she reached her limit of 12!
Daddy might have been equally as ready to "hunt" by the look in his eye - they had found an egg they were determined to get!
Ava was so excited over the Easter Egg Hunt, the fun of so many kids around, and getting to spend some time at the park in the fabulous mid-70s weather - she wasn't very interested in a family picture. But, hey! We tried!
As soon as she had all of her allowed eggs - she was ready to examine her treasure!
Before leaving the park, Ava needed to take a breather with a bottle of water! Grandpa was kind enough to keep our girlfriend company!
Ava looks like such a big girl in this post. I can't believe it. Can't wait to see her all dressed up in a couple weeks :)
