Still Looks Great

Even after spending the last year in our freezer, the top of our wedding cake still looks great! How it tastes? Well that's a whole different question, we are letting it defrost now and will update you later on how it tastes. Here's to many many more!!!

UPDATE: So, we had to let our cake thaw out overnight, so we tried it this morning, 3/28/10, and it was basically what you would expect from a year old cake. At first we both thought, well this isn't that bad, but than the aftertaste sunk in and we were both rushing for water to wash it away! I did some research on this top of the cake thing too, and as it turns out, in Roman Times, the top of the cake (which was wheat bread) was saved for the Christening of your first child, which then, typically occured shortly after a couples wedding! Now, we need to schedule Ava's Christening and order her a fabulous cake! :)
