Major Camera Update

Basically, since Emma has been born, I've been making all my blog post updates via my iPhone.  Thank goodness for that technology and the greatness of the built in camera.  I have been using my big camera a lot this summer also; so here are some of the pictures that I uploaded this morning from it!

Let's start off back on May 13, Emma girl was only 5 days old, and we made our first trip to the pool.  Ava, our little lady love bug, loves the Palisades pool because of the fountains, slides and infinity entrance to the pool.  We had a blast!

These next few pictures are from when little sister was only 3 weeks old; I know we. are. crazy.  Who hops in the car with their two babes, alone, for a 6+ hour drive with littles?  This crazy lady does!  We really enjoyed visiting with our cousins and even got a good shot of all the girls towards the end of the visit.  REMEMBER: Take group photos at the BEGINNING of visits because anything nearing bedtime results in Ava's expression below.

A LOVED rolling down the hill out back of Aunt Eileen & Uncle Vince's house late into the night, isn't that (and catching lightening bugs) exactly what summer is all about??!!

Also, this picture of Mary Ellen with E basically sums up weeks 3-9 of her life.  Colic is a nasty thing, but thankfully, she has outgrown it.

My man.  Our nephew. Connor.  You know these pictures are overdue when Katie has had them on her facebook profile for over two months already.  People ask us if we will try again, maybe for a little boy, but our response is always this "we don't need a little boy, we've got Connor"!  He is basically the happiest baby on the block.  Love.

Ok, so months 1 and 2 of E in this setup aren't that great.  The girl was battling reflux and colic and I was forcing her to put a bow/flower on her head and pose for a picture.  Nonetheless, I wanted to document her changes month to month.  I think when you see 3 months towards the end of this post, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the progress our babykins (yes we are using that with Emmakins also) has made!  Awe, we are lucky.

You'll see also, A is a little mommy herself.  She is very attentive to E's needs and she also likes to treat her "baby doll" like Mommy treats E.

A has been making HUGE progress on becoming a big girl.  She has a sudden love for baking, cooking and cleaning.  All being documented so that I can remind her of this in the years to come when I want her to help and she is pushing back.  She and Bobbi cook breakfast together just about every morning; so I wanted to document that, too.  We have been potty training, without giving up, for a few weeks now.  And hey, what better way to color than on your potty chair.  (Hopefully you get a good laugh out of that picture, below.)

So, lately, instead of sleeping, I've been wasting the quiet hours in our house on "Pinterest".  Lordy me.  It's addicting.  Too many DIY house project ideas.  Here's one that we thought of, and love.  We "chalk board" painted underneath our counters.  AVA LOVES IT.  Her creative juices start flowing and she colors away... leaving us time to clean the kitchen and make meals.  How come we didn't think of this like a year ago.  Every house with a toddler should have a chalk board wall, somewhere in the house.  So entertaining and when she outgrows it; we just repaint.

Ok, we are getting recent now.  Friday night we had some neighborhood friends over for a super casual dinner.  The kids enjoyed playing while the parents had some much needed adult conversation.  Here are pictures of the kids and their fun.  On Saturday, we went to Kendall's 2nd birthday party at the pool.  Another hit theme "Splish Splash".  Kids had a great time and I even got a picture of big sister, Kennedy, sneaks a taste of some icing before we sang "Happy Birthday".  Such a good time.

Oh how we love the 3-6 month stage.  Look at how happy this girl is now.  I can't say enough how happy we are that colic is gone and the giggles took over!  More updates to come soon!
