Weekend in VA

Ever since Mommy changed jobs, we've been very fortunate to be able to make extra trips up to Northern Virginia. While Mommy works, Ava gots lots of time to visit with her cousins and family!

Two trips ago, we celebrated Grammy's 50th birthday! (She's probably going to cringe when she see's that I publicized her age, but really that's super young!!!!) Grammy had made a mention, a few times, of wanting a crib at her house to accommodate our ever growing family... so that's exactly what we got her for her big 5.0..

Oddly enough, on our last trip up, Ava, who has been in a big girl bed for MONTHS wanted to sleep in "Baby Connor's crib" - so we put her in and she was out like a light! Slept almost 11 hours straight without waking up too!! (It only lasted one night, but hey it was great that night!) Ava was Grammy's first overnight user of her new crib!

We can't believe how big Connor is getting!!!! And how cute! Ava was "cheeky" to say the least as an infant... but Connor might have the most kissable lovable cheeks I've seen! My sister is so incredibly blessed to have such a good baby. Seriously, we've spent several days with Connor since his birth and we've never heard him cry. He is so happy to just eat and sleep and play. He is actually an ideal baby - fingers crossed we get one of those too, in May!

Uncle Daniel was home from Dental School for Spring Break so it was nice to see him also, although when he is 'home' he is running between friends to visit so our visit with him was short. While we were home this last time, we got to celebrate the engagement of some of Mommy's dearest friends. Jennie and Andrew had their engagement party in McLean and it was so great to see my favorite girls! Since we missed Julie and Josh's engagement party a few weeks ago, it was nice to get to see them and celebrate with them as well! This year is a BUSY one for us, in 2012 we have 7 weddings and then all the bells and whistles and showers and parties that come with those 7 weddings!!! Such a blessing to have such great family and friends.... wouldn't change it for the world!
